STATUS: Completed short film-development for feature opportunities STORY: Jewish orphans are being sheltered in a convent in France. There is a fierce air raid, but like Glenn Miller under a bombing attack, the children overcome their fear, but is it over? RECOGNITION: Original concept developed for a short film contest, this film won 6 Awards at its premier in Nov 2010, including Best Editing, Most Ambitious, Best Supporting Actress, Best Costume, Best Set Design, Best Make-up & Hair. STATUS: Completed. Commissioned by the Arizona Sate University Art Museum as a solo show in 2001, this installation ran from Feb-May 2001. STORY: Tells the story of a wayfarer, Majnun (an Eastern Romeo and Juliette) who pines for his lost Beloved, Leyli, but finds her unexpectedly. Inspired by the Baha'i treatise on detachment in the book of The Seven Valleys, by the by Baha'u'llah, Founder of the Baha'i Faith. |

STATUS: Future project. Short screenplay completed, looking for investment. STORY: The collaboration of a whole town in France to thwart the occupation of the Nazis during the Second World War. The French Resistance and the townspeople get together to sabotage the deportation of Jews in a tale of twists and unexpected turns. From the village watchmaker to the factory-worker, they all have one thing in common.... |

STATUS: STORY: The story of Wallis Simpson, the ambitious harpie who caused the King of England to abdicate his throne for her hand in marriage. Exiled to France (the British didn't want them)in1936, and whilst living there at the outbreak of the Second World War, Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor, collaborated with the occupying Nazis in France, to hang onto her wealth, jewels, property and lifestyle. From her trysts with Von Ribbentrop before the War, to her casually passing on information to the Germans, of combat strategies left lying around in diplomatic memos by the hapless Duke of Windsor, this film explores her ruthless ambition and cunning self-preservation in the face of the evils of war. |
